The Cape Times report of April 16 regarding the Goldstone barmitzvah may finally wake up Capetonians in general, and the Jewish community in particular, to the level of bigotry and intolerance which has gripped an important community in our country.
Naturally, the Jewish establishment has sought to fudge its outrageous behaviour.
We are now told that earlier reports (never denied before the brouhaha arose) were incorrect - no one banned Judge Richard Goldstone from attending his grandchild's barmitzvah.
What they omit to say (conveniently) is that the Zionist Federation was going to organise a protest about the judge's attendance and that to "calm …
